Music is a personal thing. Without wishing to get all High Fidelity about it, or spray psychological concepts around, but our memories are autobiographical. We remember things more clearly if they happen at key events or phases in our lives, and these events can be vividly triggered by smells, sights, and sounds. Music.
Some people remember lyrics to the letter, others it’s a chorus or a bassline, others still might be able to tell you the band, producer, recording studio and chart position.
The beauty of life is that no-one is the same. So my blogs are, of course, all on the theme is music and why it’s personal to me.
